Darcy Novo Albrecht, Chief Chick

Chief chick Darcy Novo Albrecht was born to move and groove. She turned her first cartwheel at age two and kept rolling through the next 26 years with gymnastics, aerobics, and cheerleading-including six years as a national instructor, choreographer, and judge for the National Cheerleaders Association. Darcy then got her BA in Business, had a rewarding career in advertising and married Oliver. Reed, her first chicken, arrived shortly thereafter and she chose to stay at home. With no time for the gym and a restless baby at hand, Darcy started dancing around the house to get him to sleep...and the idea for chicks-n-chickens Lullaby Exercises was hatched. Her second little chicken, Nolan, arrived a couple of years later and, as a result, the workout was perfected. In Lullaby Exercises, Darcy uses her decades of fitness experience to creatively give moms what they and their babies need most—toning, soothing, bonding, and sleep.

Jennifer Ashdown brings her own creative style to chicks-n-chickens. She has expressed her creativity in many ways through the years as owner of a jewelry business, serving as Director of Recreation and Destinations for Young and Rubicam, and as an event planner. She understands young children, not only because she has been a nanny and is studying to be a teacher, but because she also has children of her own (Audrey and Lila). As Vice-President and Director of Business Development she combines her creative and educational talents to give chicks-n-chickens wings and help it fly!

Gabi Granneman, Vice & CFO Chick

Gabi’s a rockin’ German with a brood of loyal friends. She jumped on board with chicks-n-chickens as a VP and Director of Operations without hesitation. "Only having one job is overrated," according to Gabi, who has been successfully running a private investigating firm for the past 17 years. Although her favorite saying is, "It's all about me!" we know it is also about her husband Karl the musician, Kayla her stepdaughter, and Sammy the dog. Claiming her nephews Reed and Nolan as her own little chickens at times, she will let Darcy and Oliver take over when Nolan needs a diaper change. Gabi loves to travel, go to concerts, be with friends and family, and loves life! We don’t know what we would do without her. She’s quite a chick!

We love our logo, packaging, web site......and we love our Creative Chick. Jennifer creates, designs, and strives toward perfection. Her excitement is contagious; her integrity and professionalism are refreshing. She has that "touch"....that "finesse" that makes her designs one-of-a-kind. Jennifer's creative talents have also been demonstrated as an Art Director for several bay area ad agencies. Her work has been displayed at the One Club Creative Showcase and the CA Exhibits. Jennifer was also a former kindergarten teacher and youth mentor in inner-city after-school programs. She understands and motivates both chicks and chickens! Newly wed to cool rooster Dave, she recently moved into a nest in Oakland and is doing some serious renovating. Looks like she'll stay in the groove for awhile.
